Quality Item Pools
Chance to reroll trash items.
Created 3 years ago
-------------------------DESCRIPTION-------------------------
This mod uses the implemented quality system that the Tainted Lost has to categorize subpar items, giving a weight which grants items the chance of being rerolled in item rooms accordingly to each percentage listed below:

0 - 25%
1 - 20%
2 - 15%
3 - 10%

Quality 4 items don't have a reroll chance. This in turn should result in better items appearing in item rooms.

If you'd like to change the values you can do so in the XML file provided in the RAR archive. A list of all items and their corresponding qualities can be found here

------------------------INSTALLATION-------------------------
1. Using the resource extractor tool, extract all the contents of the .a files

2. Rename The Binding of Isaac Rebirth/resources/packed folder to something like 'packed.old'

3. Copy the XML file downloaded from this page to The Binding of Isaac Rebirth/resources-dlc3

-----------------------Additional Notes----------------------
This mod does not implement the system that Tainted Lost uses to other characters, it simply gives lower tier items a chance to reroll into something better. And of course a thank you to the Fandom wiki made by the community!

Will this cause only basegame items to spawn or will modded items also appear(without the reroll chance)?
I'd be curious to know this myself. Any insight into this 415821?

Thanks for the awesome mod!
Hey man i can't seem to be able to install it with repentance. please post more detailed instructions.
I am going to need more information for what your issue is, you could try editing some values in the XML to increase chances for better items and check if the mod works. For example change 0.75, 0.8, 0.85, 0.9 into 0, you should only see good items.
i am facing problems with instillation after unpacking everything. after extraction i rename the folder repacked to a different name but then i can't find the step 3 folder. i don't know if the unpacked items should be moved out of the folder before renaming but either way i can't find the step 3 folder.
If you don't have Repentance then I cannot help you, this is a Repentance mod, you can alternatively make your own version using the itempools.xml file from the 'resources' folder. If you own the DLC you should have a folder named 'resources-dlc3'. You can also try verifying the game files with Steam to check if the extractor tool is up-to date, or by reinstalling the game.

No, keep everthing inside the 'packed' folder within the game folder intact and just rename it.
