The Mod



This mod kinda just does what it says on the tin, replaces items with Mario powerups. The goal is to use all of the powerups found across the various games so please suggest what powerups could be used in place of different items.

  • Magic Mushroom - Super Mushroom
  • 1UP - 1UP Mushroom
  • Mini Mush - Mini Mushroom
  • Odd Mushroom (thin) - Weird Mushroom
  • Firemind - Fire Flower
  • Mom's Contacts - Ice Flower
  • Head of the Keeper - Golden Flower
  • The Ladder - Cloud Flower
  • Boomerang - Boomerang Flower
  • Gnawed Leaf - Statue Leaf
  • 20/20 - Double Cherry
  • The Body - Life Mushroom
  • Dead Dove - Boo Mushroom
  • Lord of the Pit - Red Star
  • My Little Unicorn - Super Star
  • The Bible - Bee Mushroom
  • Gemini - Potted Piranha Plant
  • Fun Guy Transformation - Mario!
  • And more to come!


Notes


Due to how the game handles the Gemini familiar, The Gemini boss is affected as well. However, due to the familiar only using a single sprite, only a single sprite of Gemini is altered. I may create a fix and make Gemini the only boss changed in this mod but I'm not sure yet.

Being new to modding, I have no idea on how to do that. I would love to and appreciate the suggestion, but I can't until I get better at modding

I am new at modding as well. I have my own mod but it has so many different things that has to be fixed and added but I just can't add them well.

No the cloud sprite for the ladder was there originally but it was very messy so I remade it.

It seems like the flowers a little stretched on the right side. They are one line wider on that side. Also you should work on the mini mush a bit! It's pretty blurry. Also the cloud sprite is messy and has extra pixel around it and a few even detached from the sprite. I like the idea of the cloud as the ladder a lot though.

The flower looks thicker on one side as items on pedestals have a minor animation of them bobbing up and down which distorts the sprite slightly. I believe I have now fixed the cloud.
