This tool allows you to easiely edit the itempools of the game.

How to use

  • Start "Itempool Editor.exe".
  • Load in an "Itempools.xml" file (can be found in the unpacked afterbirth.a or config.a for rebirth)
  • (if you dont know how to get this file, please read the reddit threads about "Ricks unpacker" and "how to start modding")
  • Select an itempool from the Dropdownmenu on the upper right.
  • Add Item to Pool: left-click any Item found in the left list to add it to the Itempool (list on the right side)
  • Remove Item from Pool: Select any Item in the right side by left clicking. then press "Remove selected items". You can remove multiple entries as well by selecting more than 1 entry.
  • Clear Itempool: By Presing the red button you remove every item in the currently selected itempool.

How to install

Just unpack the files (Itempools.exe and the "Resources" folder) and place them anywhere you like. make sure to always have them both in the same folder.
Please make sure you have Microsoft .NET Framework installed (Version 4.6.1 is the most current and recommended).

- You can now change the "weight", "Decreased By" and "Remove on" Values

- You can now change the values of multiple items simultaniously

- added option to show/hide the itemnames in the itempool itemlist

- fixed bug where itemids where displayed when clicking on an item from the itemlist

- when loading a rebirth file, the itemlist now automatically switches to "Rebirth mode"

i think it works with antibirth because.... ANTIBIRTH IS FUCKING REBIRTH PPL well a mod for rebirth but still...
and also, the item room choice thing, it doesn't give me any choices.
afterbirth+ comes shipped with an itempooleditor, so i dont see the need in making this one afterbirth+ compatible
I've heard the editor is glitched, also I'm pretty sure people prefer your format and what not over the editor shipped with AB+.

where exactly do i find "Itempools.xml"?
in the unpacked config.a (for rebirth) , the unpacked afterbirth.a (afterbirth) or the resources folder after using the resourceUnpacker.exe of ab+ (ab+ is not supported by this tool)
is it, like, a improved version of the itempool editor that comes with afterbirth +?

please post the whole error message, not just the information text. also, please append more infos like "when did this error occur", "what have you done before" etc.
you have to unpack the .zip file first before executing
Not exactly a cheat, ya dingus. It can be used to make other mods.
use the program "mono" when you are using a mac. i dont own one so please google yourself on how to use it.

Something isnt working right...
I delete items from itempools then save it
but they dont get deleted
i have to close the editor...

For Mac, typically:

Its not that that isnt working

Whats not working is removing items
