Improved Item Descriptions
Changes the description of ~200 vague items in the game
Created 10 years ago
A large amount of the collectible items in the game don't explain themselves very well.

Some descriptions just aren't specific enough (Number One, The Battery), some descriptions are vague (Little CHAD, D6), and some are just nonexistent (Book of Secrets, Goathead).

The trinkets are especially bad here, almost every trinket description was updated to clarify its effect.

I tried to leave out description changes that were fairly inconsequential (like the minuscule range and speed changes on a handful of items), particularly if an item was otherwise described fully.

A handful of "secret" uses are given away, like on the Bible, but I've played the game enough to want to understand all the items without having to double-check the wiki.

Goes well with my mod for improved card/rune descriptions: http://moddingofisaac.com/mod/157/improvedcarddescriptions

Inspiration came from the Clearer Items Description mod by BlueSpike: http://moddingofisaac.com/mod/41/cleareritemsdescription
Big thanks to the http://platinumgod.co.uk/rebirth site for making checking everything so simple.

- Corrected typos in Habit and Hive Mind descriptions

- Changed description of Best Bud to be more accurate.

Is this mod Afterbirth+ compatiable?
Woopsie! Should have posted that comment on your Improved Card/Rune Descriptions but I suppose its fine here.
Thanks for the great mod!
Sorry if I'm a bit late asking but do you mind that in my Sanic Pillz mod the pocketitems.xml I had was from your mod so do you mind that I used it? Should I re-upload with the original pocketitems.xml edited?
I think this mod is the superior mod for item descriptions. I had to go through and change a lot of the other mod on this website to try and separate numbers from words, correct spelling, remove the "caps starting every word". Thank you Mutated for your hard work. I love this mod and you saved me a hell of a lot of time making my own descriptions.
Friends, let's not argue. You can choose to use BlueSpike's mod, or mine. They're similar, but have distinct descriptions. That's all that's important.
@Expired
I'd like to see you edit 400+items and not have any typos.Also some of the games items had what you called "Random Capitalization"
@Blue First of all, those descriptions DO have typos. Callus's description has "creap" instead of "creep", D6 has "pedistal" instead of "pedestal", and Magneto has "Telekanisis" instead of "Telekinesis".

Second, the random capitalization looks tacky. If I Typed My Comments Like This I Would Look Like A Fool Because That's Not How The English Language Works. There are a lot of item descriptions that you have typed like that, others are normal, and then some have one or two words that don't need capitalization that are capitalized, which makes it look even sloppier.

Lastly, I have used your mod before. I downloaded it when it first came out, then updated it once 3.3 came out, and JUST downloaded v4, which still has typos. Again, this makes your mod look like it's rushed and had very little effort put towards it.
@Expired
The "random capitalization" makes it look neater.
Also those 3items have nothing wrong with them,please don't try to make my mod look like shit when you haven't even tried it.
@Blue Magneto's description, D6's description, Callus's description, the random capitalization when it's not necessary. It's not awful typos, really, it just makes your mod look rushed, sloppy, and poorly executed. Also, congratulations on having 218 (at the time of this comment) downloads, but that doesn't make it any better than this. The argument of "this thing is more popular than others, therefore it's better" is a really silly one. If we're going off of that, that would mean Team Fortress 2 is garbage compared to a dynasty like Call of Duty or Battlefield.
@Mutated Sorry if I came off as rude! :P Some guy got a forum for TF2 to spam my profile so I was pissed of abit.
Again sorry! :P
@Expired
Explain where the spelling errors are?
Also,217 people do not agree with you.
I don't mean to come off as rude, but BlueSpike really doesn't have much room to talk seeing as /u/zarawesome made the first mod that altered item descriptions to detail what they did. Albeit, it lacked information, but it was also made before most of the item effects were discovered. I, personally, think your mod is better when compared to Blue's. This one lacks spelling errors and it keeps things simple.
BlueSpike, it's true that they're similar, but I contest that it's still original work. You were definitely the inspiration, but I didn't reference your descriptions at all when I rewrote them for myself. Anyone can use either one.

Thanks for pointing out Best Bud, it's definitely not described correctly. I'll update it soon.
Also,Best Bud is wrong,not good first impressions.
Please try to create NEW content,your two "Item Description" mods are pretty much my one in 2packs. Try to create origanal content please.
Looks great, maybe I will try it later.
