Balance Angel Rooms with Devil Rooms
This modest balance tweak is designed to make Angel Rooms a more viable option compared to Devil Rooms.
Why? I find that I greatly prefer Devil Rooms to Angel Rooms most of the time. Though both item pools have some great items available, I tend to get more and better items by taking Devil deals than by avoiding them.
By making Angel Rooms more useful as an alternative to Devil Rooms, I hope to add more variety in how runs proceed, and to get more use out of the interesting items available in the Angel Room pool.
This mod is not designed to make Angel Rooms stronger than Devil Rooms. I want both options to be fun and useful.
The Tweaks:
1) Modified Item Pool. Stigmata and Blood of the Martyr were added, and Dead Sea Scrolls removed (this item is still available in the Item Room pool).
2) Modified Room Layouts. Angel Rooms may now provide trinkets in addition to the item pedestal. You might also find an angel room with eternal hearts, and an opportunity to receive an item if you brave the danger. Only one layout does not include an item, and that layout provides some additional benefits along with its three soul hearts.
3) If you forsake Devil deals all the way to Womb 2/Utero 2, you may be reward for your faith. But no guarantees.
